Commissions
Invitation for Art Commissions
Commissioning a work of art is an intimate and collaborative process — one rooted in trust, vision, and intention. We invite a limited number of clients each month to explore the possibility of creating a bespoke, one-of-a-kind piece with Amanda.
Please Note: Amanda accepts a maximum of two commissions per month, carefully selected to ensure each project receives the attention and creative focus it deserves. Our commission schedule is full, and we are now accepting names for the waitlist.
To be considered, please contact us at hello@amandacarolcollection.com. Approved inquiries will be invited to proceed to the next stage of the process.
The Process:
Phase One: Initial Inquiry
To begin, please send an email outlining your interest in a commission. Please include the following information so we can better assess your vision for the commission.
- Number of pieces
- Rough dimensions for each piece
- Framing considerations (antique, vintage or standard)
- Sample photos of Amanda's previous works that you are drawn to
- Desired timeline, including any install date targets you are trying to hit
- A general range for the total investment you have set aside to acquire a commissioned piece
- Any specific areas of concern you want us to cover during the art consultation
This initial inquiry allows us to determine whether the project is a mutual fit creatively, logistically, and energetically. If we require additional clarity or information, we will follow up with you.
Once we've collected all of the information above, we will review all details internally. If the commission is approved, you will be invited to proceed to Phase Two.
Phase Two: Art Consultation & Commission Planning Call
Approved clients will move forward with a Zoom consultation and planning call. In this call, we will have a deeper discussion of the art to discover which specific elements of Amanda's work you are most drawn to, as well as any framing preferences, logistics, timeline expectations, pricing structure, and next steps.
Calls typically last up to one hour, depending on the scope and complexity of the request.
After this call, you will receive an all-inclusive written commission proposal covering:
- The artwork
- Framing
- Packaging and shipping
- Delivery timeline
- Total investment
- Any other special requests covered during the call
Upon your approval, an initial investment of half-down will secure your place on the commission calendar.
Notes on the Process:
To ensure clarity and alignment, please keep the following in mind:
- Art is deeply personal. While decisions about timing, size, or budget can be delegated, you can’t delegate what truly moves you. Our commissioning process is designed to be easy, enjoyable, and help clients explore their tastes. To ensure the final work reflects your vision, anyone with approval authority should join the consultation.
- Painting is both intuitive and technical. Some techniques must be executed at specific stages, so late-stage changes can be difficult or impossible. Establishing a clear vision up front is essential for a smooth delivery.
- Amanda may work within a similar color family, mood, or compositional direction, but she does not replicate past works.
- All pieces are hand-crafted; subtle variations, texture, and imperfections are inherent and part of their value.
- One round of revisions is included. Additional revisions may be accommodated for an extra fee, depending on scope.
